The winner of the prize bonnet!

This is Helena here.
In the picture above, we are drawing a NAME from the tin.
Tante Leona helped us.
She really loves our bonnets.
Tante Martha was the Big Winner.
Her little girls are very excited so today I have to remove the pretty bonnet and send it to them.

I think Maman will make me another one.
We are having fun with our Little House Challenge.

Emmy and a friend.

Here is Emmy in her new Little House outfit.
Isn't she adorable?
Her Maman is Tante Linda P.
Our Maman took these pictures in Tante Isabelle's house yesterday.
I wish we could have gone too. Maman forgot all about us.

This is Tante Linda P's other little girl.
We have forgotten her name.
We just love her fuzzy coat.

More bonnets!

Here is a new sister who doesn't have a name yet, even though she has been living at the Bleu Manoir for one year.
She is playing Mary Ingalls.
I helped Maman make this pink calico bonnet on New Year's Day.
It was a lot of fun.
What do you think of it?

This is the side view.
We put black velvet ribbon for the tie.

Which bonnet do you like the best?

Yvette Marie's first sewing project for 2012!

Here is the very first thing I made in 2012!
Of course Maman helped me out.
This is the prize for the BSC Little House Challenge.
It's for one of the first 10 people who put a picture in the Challenge album.
Maman calls this an incentive.

Helena is modeling the bonnet.
Maman and I sure had fun making it!
We used a pattern drafted by Tante Jennifer.
She is a very good seamstress.
I wonder who will win the bonnet?

A handstitched quilt!

Maman is planning to get us to help her make a quilt!
We don't even have a bed of our own.
But Maman is in charge of the new BSC challenge for January and February.
It is called Little House Challenge.
A long time ago a little girl named Laura Ingalls lived in many little houses far away in America.
Everyone in the BSC group loves the books she wrote when she grew up.
So Maman is in charge of the challenge to dress Bleuette like Laura.
We also can try to do the things Laura did.
She made a nine patch quilt so we are going to try too.
This is one of the designs we will work on.
This is Becassine.

Happy seams in 2012!

Tante Kathy M. from BSC created the logo in our header.
She didn't know she was making up a logo but Maman loves it and now it is ours!
We don't have a new picture of us sewing.
The Christmas things are in the way.
So this picture will have to do.
The new logo is one we will try to follow in 2012!
We wish to sew much more in this New Year.
We will post pictures of our new things when they are finished.
Love from Helena.

HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM ALL OF US!

Here is me, Robinette, in a brand new Christmas dress.
Maman finished it at the very last minute on the last day of 2011!
I just love it.
It's so very pretty with green velvet ribbon at the waistline.
Maman used a free pattern from Tante Martha.
She loves using her patterns as they are so easy to do.
The waistline was a little tricky, as it's smaller than the bodice, but Maman cut it with tiny scissors and then she stretched the skirt to fit.
Maman has been sewing for nearly 40 years so she is good at it.
Well, I think so anyhow.
Guess what? Maman has won the red scarf set for a PRIZE for entering into the BSC challenge.
Isn't that amazing? I am so glad she finished my dress in time.
Now I need a new coat to match.
Happy New Year from all of us to all of you!
Love from Robinette
