Something in the mail!

Our new sweaters came in the mail today!

Tante Georgia made them.

Dear Maman cannot manage 2 needles so she cannot knit.

Aren't our sweaters beautiful?

Best of all they are soooo comfy and cozy!

Maman also got a new book in the mail for FREE. She earned amazon dollars from a survey.

The book is about murder and dolls.

That sounds very odd to me but Maman is happy with it.

The pretty flowers are from her son Matthew.

I think Spring is just around the corner.

Something for Sale and our 60th post!

We've been hard at work helping Maman paint these Easter baskets. Maman added the paper straw and glued in the tiny eggs. She also glued on the decorations.

A bit of spring

Helena and I were allowed out in the garden yesterday.

It was quite warm if you didn't stay in the shade!

We still don't have our new sweaters that Maman bought for us online.

My dress is very warm, but Helena's is a bit thin.

We loved picking snowdrops in Maman's garden.

They are so pretty!

A very special birthday party!

Maman has just finished a very pretty dress for our cousin, Daisy.

Maman used a pattern from the talented Robin Barrows.

Her patterns are on eBay. Her name there is "dressadoll".

Maman says her patterns are Very Easy to Follow.

I think that Daisy looks beautiful in her new dress.

She is turning 100 on March 15th!

The first Daisy was a doll made in Germany for a magazine called The Ladies Home Journal.

If little girls wanted one, they had to get subscription orders for the magazine and send them in.

Not very many Daisy dolls were made. There aren't many left.

Maman bought a tiny one that's a Daisyette, only ssshhh....she isn't really 100 years old.

A lady named Beth Golding made her.

I just love her beautiful hair!

Our Tea Party in February!

Maman had a Valentine's Tea two weeks ago today.

Because of the circus we forgot to post the pictures!

We had a very fun time. Maman is trying something New this year.

She is trying to have a tea each month with her dolly friends.

Zoe and I love this idea!

Maman's friend, Tante Linda, came to the tea.

She brought a new Valentine dress for me and chocolate treats for Maman.

Isn't my dress lovely?

Here is Zoe modeling the new dress which Maman made for one of Tante Linda's girls.

And here is the new nameless girl wearing it!

Maman also made a pinafore to go with it.

Maman and Tante Linda baked special things for us too.

It was a lovely day!

We were all very full afterwards.

The circus is coming to town!

The girls are soooo excited!

Zoe and Yvette Marie have been practising secretly for weeks!

Yesterday the Grand Event happened; the Circus came to town!

The other residents of the Bleu Manoir were thrilled to see posters about the circus near the Bleu Manoir.

The First Act was performed in front of a breathless audience.

Real lions and tigers, oh my!

Zoe seemed made for the job in her darling clown outfit.

She even had a special leash for her tiger.

Everyone was amazed and applauded wildly when Zoe lead the fierce beasts off stage.

The audience cheered and whistled when Yvette Marie appeared onstage, in a daring pink satin outfit, showing her shapely arms and legs.

After balancing on the tight rope for a glorious 5 minutes, she lightly dropped back down to earth, and performed with her black elephant; the mighty Esmerelda!

Everyone stamped and whistled loudly as the show came to an end.

It was a spectacular performance.

The crowd of girls surged forwards after the show in order to get closer to the mighty beasts.

Amazingly the animals were all tame and allowed the girls to touch them.

It had been one of the happiest days so far in the Bleu Manoir country.
