Dear Mamans and everyone. We are so excited to be in pretty California.

Maman has taken oodles of pictures. She cannot put them up because she has no time.

We did not know that the days are shorter in California but they are!

Isn't that strange?

Maman has been on a Big Shopping Spree with me.

It is lots of fun!

She will write more about it when we get home again.

The UFDC salesroom is monstrous. It's like a big football field.

Maman has found pretty shoes and things for all my sisters.

She also found something that is a Huge Surprise!

This is a test...

Maman is having me, Yvette Marie, help her with a test on her iPad.
Thisnis not has fast as the Big Computer but it will have to do.
Maman finished sewing on the 4 buttons on my new Minnie Mouse dress today!
We are going to see if we can put the picture into the iPad.
We think it will be very tricky.

My new 1939 style dress!

Here is my new dress, made by Maman.

Tante Martha designed the pattern.

She is a whiz at it!

Maman could make the dress without any instructions.

She also made my hat using a 1927 pattern from Bleuette's World magazine.

Now I am ready for convention!

A new contest for you!

Bonjour! This is Helena writing. I've been in the cabinet for a long time.

Maman let me out at last!

She is having a CONTEST for everyone who is not going to UFDC.

This is so you do not feel left out!

The contest is very easy.

All you have to do is leave me and Zoe a comment underneath these pictures.

We will put all your names into a bowl, and draw out 2 winners on Wednesday, July 20, 2011.

We will announce the winners at 3:00 pm on that day.

The prizes are very cute!

There are anchor and sailing ship buttons, or two Canadian flag appliques.

You could use the buttons for the new challenge coming up at the BSC and you could use the flags on your Bleuettes tent! I hope lots of you will leave us a comment.

We cannot go to UFDC either. But we can still have fun.

Happy 4th of July to our American friends!

Maman has some American blood in her from Grandmere.

Maman was always in America during July because her whole family went there on holiday.

Today it is very hot and sunny outside.

We would love to celebrate too!

HAPPY CANADA DAY!

No she didn't make them.

But we love them, and we love our Canadian flags!

Yesterday Canada was 144 years old.

Maman made chocolate cupcakes. It was her Papa's 82nd birthday.

We were so excited to see Princess Kate on TV!

She is here in Canada, visiting the other provinces with her husband Prince William.

We love Princess Kate's pretty hat and her pretty clothes.

Zoe and I watched her "live" on TV!

Look very carefully at Princess Kate's beautiful hat.

Grandmere told Maman that it has red maple leaves.

Maman thinks this is just TOO COOL. Maman hadn't noticed the leaves.

Now we all want a hat just like this!
