Our 50th post and some cute photos!

These pictures were taken by Tante Peggy.
She takes divine photos, doesn't she?
She has tricks up her sleeve and Maman is trying her best to learn them.
You can check out more photos at THIS LINK. The page takes a while to load but it's worth it!

A lovely blog

We love to look at other Bleuette pictures online.
Maman also enjoys this pastime.
The above photo is from one of our favourite blogs:
It's all about life in the country.
The owner loves Tasha Tudor (a children's book illustrator) and also Bleuettes!
She has lots of nice pictures.
We really like this one!

Merry Christmas to all!

Christmas morning!
Oh we did have fun!
I got a Chatty Cathy doll and she says 11 things!
Zoe got a puppy!
Ellowyne got the nativity creche on top of the fireplace.
Helena got a pretty Christmas tea set.
Of course we also got candy and things too, but these are our best presents.
We hope you had a merry Christmas too!

Here is a beautiful picture of Tante Julie's girls in their lovely home.
Look at those gorgeous dresses!
Tante Julie didn't make any of them. Other Mamans made them.
I really, really like the dress on the right...the red plaid.
If you click on this picture you will see 2 Bleuettes with adorable Chatty Cathy dolls.
I do so wish I had one too! Maybe I'll get one on Christmas Day!

Christmas tree decorating

This picture was taken by Tante Ruth.
These are her darling girls, wearing beautiful Christmas dresses made by Tante Georgia.
There are many talented Mamans out there in Bleuette Land!
Zoe and I are putting this picture here so that our own Maman won't forget to save her dolly dollars for new dresses just like these, made by Tante Georgia.
Maman has been eyeing them all year, and so have we.
Maman can crochet, but not like this.
Aren't Tante Ruth's girls pretty?

A BSC Christmas Exchange Gift

This is me, Zoe. I am the model for the blue velvet dress for the BSC Exchange.
Maman had LOTS of fun putting this together for CindyJane.
Maman LOVES to go shopping!
Maman has SO MUCH stuff in her house that she did some of the shopping here at home!
Isn't that funny?
I love the blue velvet dress. It suited me to a T. I do so wish Maman would make me one.
It was soft and warm. It reminded her of her own blue velvet dresses she had when she was a little girl.
Anyhow I hope CindyJane's girls like this gift.

This gift was sent to Rochelle and her little Bleu, Pippi, in NY.
This was for the AADC exchange.
Maman had me be the model again. She promised that I would be rewarded.
I didn't mind modeling. It was sure lots of fun.

Here's a close up of me in the Christmas hankie PJs.
Who ever would have thought of making PJs out of a hankie? Tee hee.
We like to recycle in our house!
Hugs from Zoe.

These little girls are also our friends.
Here at the Bleu Manoir we have many, many nice friends!
This is Lexie and Loma. Their Maman's name is Valnora. Aren't those pretty names?
Lexie and Loma have done something we haven't done yet.
They visited Santa!
I really love their dresses. I wish I had a red hat or a red bonnet. I think I need to go and visit Santa and tell him so. But maybe not. That might be too greedy. Anyhow we asked Valnora's permission to use her lovely picture.
Love from Yvette Marie and the Bleu Gang
PS: Helena got really dizzy on the rocking horse today and was sent to bed with hardly any supper. Poor thing.

A wonderful Christmas gift!

What an exciting day in the Bleu Manoir!
Today, December 14, is the day to open our Exchange Gift.
It came last week but Maman kept it hidden from us.
It's from Tante Pauline. She lives far away. She sent lovely things for all of us.
Maman has made the pictures extra large so you can see our nice things.
Ellowyne is happy with a pretty hat and sweater that we think Tante Pauline knit for us.
Maman can't knit. She says she can't handle 2 needles at one time.
Zoe loves the chipmunk puppet.
Helena is riding the really nice rocking horse.
And I'm wearing the gorgeous sailor suit and hat which is very well sewn.

Oh, it's a very happy Christmas indeed!
Merci beacoup, Tante Pauline!

A very beautiful Christmas bed!

This is one of our many friends.
Her name is Angelique.
Her Maman's name is Carol. She took this photo of Angelique resting in her pretty bedroom after a busy day of shopping.
Now this is just what I would like to do!
Only Maman hasn't found a bed for us just yet.
Tante Julie made the wonderful quilt, and Tante Marilee made the gorgeous coverlet.
I hopped up and down so much that Maman has printed off a copy of this picture, and she will try to make me a quilt like this. Of course it will be nice once I get a bed!
Angelique's Maman said we could put the photo here in our blog.

Posting a letter to Santa Claus

A little while ago it snowed, and Maman hurried and finished a gorgeous green velvet cape for me!
I also hurried and wrote a letter to Santa Claus and posted it in the nearest mail box.

This is the address for Santa Claus if you're mailing from Canada.
I do so hope I get what I want! If I do, I'll be sure to post about it here.

HAPPY ST NICHOLAS DAY!

We haven't posted in an AGE! Our calendars didn't sell, so we sent them off as gifts. Oh well, we'll have to think of other ways to make dolly money for new clothes and shoes! Maman kindly made me and Helena new Christmas hankie dresses. Today is St. Nicholas Day. Maman is half Dutch because she's married to a Dutch man, so she had us put out wooden shoes last night and today they were full of gifts for each of us!
There was a new mixer for me, 3 pairs of red shoes for Zoe, Helena and Ellowyne, 2 small porcelain angels for our bedroom, and a darling nutcracker made in Germany.

Here's a close up of our gifts. Aren't they wonderful?

I tried out the mixer right away, to get started on my Christmas gifts early.
I baked special cupcakes for the girls.
If you click on the picture, you can see my cupcakes up close.
The German nutcracker is watching me!

FOR SALE...A BLEUETTE 2011 CALENDAR! ONLY $12.00!

Maman has designed a 2011 calendar for all our fans.
When it's opened up, it's 8" wide and 11" long.
It's a wall calendar and it features a special 4" x 6" glossy photo of me and Zoe for each month.
Just think, you can look at us all year long!
We think the calendar designs look quite "French" and suit our photos very well.

This picture shows Zoe for the month of July.

This picture shows the month of November with me, Yvette Marie, as the star.
The calendar is only $12.00 plus postage of $4.00.
If you would like a calendar please let Maman know by posting here or emailing her at dragonfly3@telus.net
We have ONE calendar available.
All funds from the sale will go toward dolly clothes and shoes!
(Zoe and I think we have enough sisters now.)

We have a new cousin!

Here is a new cousin.
Maman has been saving her dollars and they have added up.
She saved them for a while before buying Ellowyne and now this new cousin.
Her name is Daisy.

Daisy is a Kestner mold in Bleuette size. The original Daisy doll was first made in 1911 by a German company for a ladies magazine in the USA. Daisy was 18" tall. Someone got the idea to make Bleuette size Daisy's and they are called Daisyettes! A lady named Beth Golding made our Daisy.
Maman likes her face paint and her wig.

Maman made Daisy her very own hankie dress. She also finished ThierrySucette's hankie dress, which was won in the draw many weeks ago. Maman is terribly slow these days. Maybe she should stop buying things like dolls and just concentrate on sewing!
That is me, Helena, wearing ThierrySucette's new dress. I'm modelling it. Hopefully I will get a winter dress in time for Christmas. Anyhow, I did get new socks and new black shoes.
Love from Helena

A most beautiful dress

Here is a gorgeous dress made by Tante Arlene. She is a SUPERB seamstress.
Maman admires her work very much. We hope Tante Arlene won't mind us putting her picture here. I want to keep it here so that Maman will see it often and then sew one like it for me.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Dear Maman has finally gotten into the Swing of Things.
She's had a dreadful month full of Migraines.
We're so happy she felt much better this weekend.
She made a cute dress for me yesterday.
It took her 3 hours. I modelled it all over the house.
Here I am sitting outside on a lovely park bench given to us by Tante Julie MT.
Maman made the lovely Halloween mural on Friday.
She seems to really like Halloween but not the spooky gory part of it.

Today was such a beautiful day.
Yvette Marie woke us all up and after church we went on a picnic lunch in the country.
Tante Leona's horse and buggy are getting used a lot!
Do you like our picnic baskets?
Here we are without our masks.
They were too hot and sweaty.

Happy Halloween, everyone!
Do you see our witch dollies?
Hugs and kisses from Zoe.

Ellowyne... our new Bleuette sister!

Maman went to a doll show in Puyallup, WA on October 16, 2010.
Zoe and I didn't go with this time. It was a hurried sort of trip, and Maman only spent one night in Tacoma. She said the weather was gorgeous. It was cold but sunny with a bright blue sky.
Papa noticed the booth in the picture above.
He has a very beady eye. Maman hurried right over to the booth.
Here is Maman building a Bleuette! She got to choose a face mold and she picked out this one with brown eyes. This is a Seely Gold mold. It's also a 60/80 mold, which is what Helena is too! Maman didn't notice that until she got home. (they have a dimple in their chins!)
Maman took 45 minutes to choose a wig. She tried them all on. She loves ringlets and we now have 2 brunettes and 2 blondes in our family. Here Maman is putting socks and shoes on the new girl.

Meet Ellowyne! She whispered her name to Maman on the trip back! Ellowyne is just a little bit bossy but she knows that I'm in charge of the Bleu Manoir so I don't think I'll have too much trouble with her.
She is very pretty up close. She is a little embarrassed to be shown here without her unders and all.
Maman needs to make her some unders and a new dress. Right now Ellowyne is borrowing our things.
It's exciting to have another new sister but where will it stop?
I think Maman is getting just a little carried away. But this time it was Papa's fault! Plus Ellowyne was only $99.00 plus her wig.

An Autumn Tea

Saturday, October 23, 2010 was a very exciting day!
We knew friends were coming over for tea, but when we came down to the kitchen,
someone new was there. It was a new sister!
Maman and Papa travelled to Puyallup WA last weekend and brought her back with them, and they kept it a surprise until today.
She told us her name is Ellowyne.
She is a Seely Gold mold, made by Terri Pender in WA.
Isn't she pretty? She is borrowing my autumn dress from last year, which Maman made.

Here is most of the gang squeezing into our kitchen.
I'm sitting at the table with Phoebe, who belongs to Sarah Jean.
Next to her is Helena, then Madeline, Emma Grace, Matilda and Ashley, with our new sister, Ellowyne, way in the back.

Here is Zoe in the back garden with Emily and Phoebe.

And here are all the Mamans together!
Our Maman loves to have tea parties.
This is the very first Bleuette tea, because last year Maman's friends didn't own any Bleuettes, and Sarah Jean lived far away in Toronto.
We think it's so very exciting that suddenly everyone has Bleuettes, except for Tante Leona, who is Maman's sister. But we're working on her.

Maman had a door prize. Everyone put their name in for the Drawing.
Papa pulled one name out.
Ashley won the prize! Ashley belongs to Maman Isabelle.

Here's all the Mamans with their Bleuettes.
Please click on the picture to see us all very well.

Here we are in the country, getting ready for the hayride!
We did this first, before the tea.
Tante Leona loaned us the horse and buggy.

Here we are meeting our new sister, Ellowyne.

Oh, this was such fun! The weather was fine too.

Zoe holding the picnic basket.

We found a spooky graveyard nearby the place we stopped to have our picnic.

Some of us were very scared.
We were sad when everyone had to go home.
I hope everyone comes back again soon!
